TCC Steel, founded in 1959, is one of Korea’s leading manufacturers of plated steel. Over the past six decades, the company has expanded its reach to more than 180 clients across 70 countries. Renowned for its advanced technology, TCC Steel plays a pivotal role in the secondary battery industry, supplying nickel-plated steel — a critical material in next-generation energy storage.

With the rapid growth of the secondary battery market, establishing a distinctive brand identity has become essential for sustaining long-term competitiveness.o address this, Double D has redefined TCC Steel’s brand identity system, enabling the company to communicate its vision more effectively to clients worldwide. The new identity system is applied through TCC Steel’s new website and manifesto film.

Strategy renewal to strengthen credibility and consistent brand communication
Based on TCC Steel’s long-term strategy and insights from in-depth internal interviews, we shifted the company’s communication approach from product-centric to customer-centric messaging. This new direction is designed to highlight the benefits delivered to clients while conveying the company’s vision both internally and externally.

To build consistent and trustworthy brand communications, we defined TCC Steel’s core values, integrating its vision and mission. A new brand statement and slogan were developed to highlight the company’s differentiated image, expertise, and unique positioning in the industry.

Refined visual identity system in line with the rebranding strategy
With the newly established BIS, we updated TCC Steel’s visual assets to reflect its new vision and values. The previous logo, with its cramped and unbalanced negative spacing, lacked clarity and impact. We refined the design to enhance legibility, and ensure versatility across digital platforms. Along with the updated logo, a new typography and color system was introduced to reinforce a professional and modern brand impression.

Customer-centric website emphasizing expertise and reliability
TCC Steel’s new website embodies its refreshed identity system through a complete redesign of the UX/UI and overall visual framework. With a client-focused experience and consistent design language, the site brings the company’s diverse product portfolio to the forefront, showcasing its technological expertise while reinforcing a professional and trustworthy brand image. High-quality photography and custom 3D assets emphasize a technology-driven identity, while the streamlined navigation system is designed specifically for B2B clients.

Intuitive visual structure and web flow built for clear client communication
The new site architecture was designed with a customer-first content flow for intuitive navigation. Given TCC Steel’s products are meant for B2B clients, the information structure was rebuilt to highlight its product portfolio upfront, allowing clients to quickly understand the breadth of its technological capabilities. Dedicated sections on ‘About,’ ‘R&D,’ and ‘Sustainability’ further communicate the company’s philosophy, technical expertise, and ESG commitments, shaping a balanced and trustworthy brand experience.

The main page features 3D graphics and high-resolution photography that highlight TCC Steel’s advanced technology and commitment to responsible manufacturing, reinforcing a consistent image of reliability.

Manifesto film reflecting TCC Steel’s distinct technology and philosophy
The manifesto film featured on the website’s main page, captures TCC Steel’s vision for a sustainable future. Filmed at the company’s next-generation plant in Yeongil Bay, Korea, the video highlights TCC Steel’s automated systems and structured production processes that ensure quality and innovation.

To communicate TCC Steel’s distinctive capabilities and brand identity to potential clients, the film combines narration with visuals that trace the journey of its products to end users. Beginning with the raw material of steel, it transitions through production facilities and R&D laboratories to emphasize technical expertise, before concluding with a focus on eco-friendly materials and ESG values.
